Honeymoon Planning
Nearly as much fun as planning your wedding is planning your honeymoon. You want your first trip together as husband and wife to be memorable and it is tempting to accept an 'anything goes' plan. After all, you are probably going to get plenty of wedding presents in the form of cash so why not? Well for a start, you want to be able to eat and visit the sights when you get there, so you have got to apply some discretion when making your arrangements. Alot of couples discover that it's possible to have a fantastic honeymoon, even if they're adhering to a budget and all it needs is some careful planning. When's the best time to plan the honeymoon? Evidently earlier is preferable, particularly if you intend to visit a popular location during high season. But as a minimum, while you're piecing together your wedding budget, it is a good idea to apportion finances for this adventure together and act from there. To assist in fixing an appropriate budget, you have got to consider your possibilities, and naturally, you have got to be realistic. A great way to begin planning your honeymoon is to consider the things you both like to do in your spare time. Think about locations you have simply dreamed of visiting, and consider what you truthfully intend to do while away. You can also use the web or a travel agent to help you to think up honeymoon ideas. When you have chosen a destination, it is time to get busy sorting out your travel arrangements. Special deals are available, but you have got to be pushy in your hunt for them. Do not worry; it will likely be worth the extra effort. And the best deals may not always mean getting a rock bottom price. It is the extras that'll change this average trip into something fantastic. Maybe the deal includes getting a suite with a wonderful view, or finding a complimentary bottle of champagne in your room. When you are down to only three months left till the wedding date, you should have your travel arrangements firmly in place. Know where you are going to, how you are getting to the airport (afterwards) and once you reach your location, how you will be getting to your accommodation. When you are in place, the balance of the holiday can run its course. If you want, you can plan some day trips beforehand. This far out, also ensure vaccinations and passports are up to date, if applicable. A couple of weeks prior to your departure, begin to get together all the things you will take with you on your honeymoon: camera and film/memory cards, swimming costume*, day and evening clothes, traveler's checks, tickets, paperwork, verification numbers for ALL bookings (including person's name whenever possible), and some local currency for tipping. Set aside someplace safe. Then as the coming days get more nerve-wracking than you can bear, shut your eyes and picture yourselves idly resting in your honeymoon suite, without a care in the world except how soon you will be able to come back! |
