Romantic Destination..New Mexico?Colorado?Arizona?Utah?
We’re celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary November 20th and live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We want to celebrate the weekend before. We want to do a nice romantic getaway kinda of celebration, so Vegas and things of that nature are out. We want to drive to our destination so it shouldn’t be too far. We’re looking for a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and, of course, affordable. Ski resorts, bed and breakfasts, nice hotels are all options, but we want to try to keep it under 0 a night. Any first hand experiences that turned out really well in this area? Thanks in advance!

Should we have a wedding registry if we are having a destination wedding?
My fiance and I are planning on getting married in 2008 in Jamaica. We have extended the offer for all our friends and family to come but realize that many people will not be able to come. We plan on having a celebration once we return, maybe a month later. I know it is customary to register at places for traditional weddings and receptions. I was just wondering if it would be tacky if we did register at some places. If anyone has any advice please let me know.
PS – I also posted another question concerning my destination wedding plans and received a very rude response. I know people may not agree with my decision to have a destination wedding and stuff but if you dont agree just please dont be rude about it!

I'm planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean.. Which location is best?
I’m in the beginning stages of planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean. My finance and are I baffled as to which island would be the best for such an occasion. We are currently considering Bermuda, Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, St. Kitts, and the Turks and Caicos. These are options because we are familiar with the marriage license requirements, residency requirements, and all that other red tape plus thinks that they are all beautiful places for such a celebration.
We are looking for an island that is NOT "overly touristy" but at the same time we are looking for a place where there is at least a few activities to keep us busy (i.e. swimming, scuba diving, hiking, sites to see, some restaurants to check out. etc.)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
