Getting Ready for the BIG DAY – Your Wedding! It is taken as read that it will take the bride-to-be much longer to prepare on her wedding day than it will the groom-to-be. Your up-do, your make-up, and the manicure/pedicure all should be done on the big day, however there is more. Getting yourself into your wedding dress and its related accessories can easily take up to an hour. And then naturally, it's photo time. It is no wonder that weddings are popular in the late afternoon. But although many of the men maybe do not have much idea how to put on their penguin suits, there is probably going to be lots of mothers and aunts with them to assist those needy guys get ready. A shower, shave, and a quick comb through the hair should do it. And then provided the men do not get themselves lost en route to the wedding ceremony, they have pretty much achieved their wedding day chores. Joking aside, there are still wedding day tasks that need attention. Almost all have already been confirmed and reconfirmed, so actually what is necessary on this day is somebody responsible for ensuring that the wedding ceremony location and reception venue are set up – that the decorations, flowers, favors, disc jockey, photographer and wedding cake are all in place. Employing a wedding coordinator for the day is always an alternative. And, it will not hurt to triple-check the transport arrangements. They need to be picking up the bridal party around 20 minutes prior to the ceremony. If the couple have paid attention to their planning checklist, the day will unfold pretty much as expected. Nevertheless, even your best laid plans can unravel and this is something that should be understood and even expected. The great news is almost all of the sorts of things that go 'wrong' aren't noticed by the guests. The caterers might serve up the wrong vegeatables, the DJ puts on a heavy metal tune instead of when a man loves a woman, and one of the old Aunties has to go home early. The bride just needs to stay relaxed and let these things go. The best man does have a couple of significant duties. He has got to take control of getting the groom to the ceremony. He has got to ensure that the wedding rings and his speech are carefully put away inside his pocket. He must also have the cash that'll be paid out at the ceremony. Plus somebody has to have the money necessary to pay off any outstanding balances due for professional services. The bride might like to take a couple of moments prior to the wedding getting underway to sit with her parents and thank them for their help during her life and assure them that her love for them is as strong as ever. Plus she definitely needs to eat. With all the expectation and exhilaration of the approaching celebrations, it is easy to not feel hungry, however this isn't a good idea, particularly if food will not be available for a few more hours. Above all, be sure to keep on smiling. And remember that in only a couple of hours, you will both be relaxing, together in your honeymoon suite |
