When organising your wedding, work backwards from the 'big day' according to the timeline laid out below.

Six months to a year before your wedding date is the when you need to make many of your bookings and put down deposits. You have got to get an approximate but reasonably precise estimation of the number of guests you will have. Each wedding location can accommodate a certain number of people and you want a location that can comfortably accommodate everybody. Here is what should be achieved during this timeframe. Choose and book locations for the wedding ceremony and the reception Interview and book your professional performers including: Musician or DJ, Photographer/Videographer, flower arranger, Caterer, Wedding cake maker, and Wedding officials. Choose and confirm wedding party attendants for both bride and groom Select wedding party dress and organize fittings Organize transport for bridal party on the wedding day Put engagement info in your local newspaper
